RONALDO RULED OUT

There is bad news for the Real Madrid fans. Cristiano Ronaldo has now injured his hamstring and he might have to spend some more time on the sidelines.

The Los Blancos’ premier striker had already been struggling with a knee injury because of which he had not played in the all important Champions League quarter final match.

There hasn’t been any official statement made by the Real Madrid management yet regarding the expected recovering time.

They did release a statement earlier today, but, that was about the nature of the injury and not about the recovery time.

That statement read, “Cristiano Ronaldo has gone through scans which have shown that his hamstring is injured. His condition would be evaluated by the medical staff.”

Real Madrid could not have suffered this blow at a worse time. They have to play a couple of vital games in the near future and as things stand right now, it seems that they will have to play both those games without Ronaldo. It will be all about luck without him - a bit like playing the football slots!

First, Real Madrid has to take on the arch rivals Barcelona in the final match of Copa Del Rey this weekend and then, next week, they will be playing the first leg of their Champions League semi final tie.

Los Blancos get significantly weakened in the absence of Ronaldo and that was quite evident in their previous Champions League match against Borussia Dortmund. They were all over the place and eventually lost by 0-2. It’s because of their emphatic win in the quarter final first leg that they didn’t get knocked out of the tournament.

Ronaldo has been in the form of his life this season. He has shown immaculate consistency and has kept Real Madrid in the hunt for all the big three trophies till now.

But, now, when he is out, Real’s character would be tested big time in the next two games.
