Ronaldo Still Believes

Cristiano Ronaldo still believes that Real Madrid can overcome Barcelona - only a win will do tonight, whilst the Catalan club must drop points. Real have every chance of finishing as runners-up despite the fact that they have surpassed the record number of points won in a Primera Liga season.

“It will be very hard to win the league this year, but in football anything can happen" said Ronaldo. “Mathematically it is possible. We have to win in Malaga and see what happens in Barcelona.”

Ronaldo also discussed his future - and says he may retire in Madrid!

“I do not know what will happen in the future. You never know, although I would like to retire in Madrid.

“I have really enjoyed the past year, but what’s missing is winning a title. We must keep fighting though, and I am confident we will win many titles in the future. Being knocked out of the Champions League was very bad, but the circumstances must be taken into account. There were a lot of new players and it was a team under construction with a different coach.

“I remember in my first two years at Manchester United we didn’t win anything, and I’m sure this club can win the Champions League.”
