TIME TO MOU ON

The Real Madrid manager José Mourinho has given the biggest hits that he may be managing one of his former clubs, but it could not be Chelsea. The Portuguese manager is widely expected to leave the Santiago Bernebeu after a turbulent season.

Even though the club are likely to reach the semifinals of the Champions league once again, the performances in the league have left a lot to be desired from the 9 times European champions. Mourinho has also not had a healthy relationship with the Real Madrid fans, while his relationship with the media has always been rocky since his arrival three years ago.

He has never enjoyed the same rapport he had at Chelsea and Inter Milan. It is widely expected that Chelsea will be one of the clubs interested in securing his services when he leaves Real Madrid in the summer.

He is thought to have made peace with the owner Roman Abramovich, who even gifted him a hugely expensive watch recently. However, Mourinho has hinted that he may return to the San Siro, which is the last place he won the Champions League. Mourinho enjoyed an equally good relationship with the Inter Milan fans. The Italian club are currently struggling under the regime of Andrea Stramaccioni.

"I spent two fantastic years in Italy, at Inter. I do not know if I will go back someday, but if I do it will be with great pleasure and excitement," said Mourinho, who managed to guide Inter Milan to the Champions league title after a gap of more than four decades. Mourinho also won the Italian league title during his time at the club. Madrid recently managed to get past Manchester United in the last 16 stage of the European competition after a 3-2 win on aggregate. They will be facing Galatasaray in the quarter-finals.
