Manchester United 4 v 2 Fulham
Old Trafford, Manchester
4th February 2006

Just when Man United fans were getting disheartened with their team's ability to lopse easy games, Ronaldo played one of the games of his life to leave struggling Fulham deservedly reeling!

Despite having conceded 6 goals in two games, United have managed to create the chances for more goals - seven in response in the two games. Exciting stuff.

Much falls on the shoulders of Fergie for remoulding the defence every-game, but the team will settle and become a defensive wall once more, whilst United's attacking play will go from strength to strength.

Park played on one side, and was creditted with the first massively deflected goal, but it was Ronaldo who was doing all the running (at defenders) and creating chance after chance for his team-mates.

His first goal doubled United's lead on 14 minutes, with a stunning free-kick dipping just below the bar.

Fulham pulled one back before old-boy Louis Saha hit the back of the net with a dubious offside tap-in.

But it was to be Ronaldo's day, with his neat touch and clinical in-off-the-back-post finish finishing the game and taking all the three points.
