Dramatic Late Ronaldo Winner

It was left to Cristiano Ronaldo to grab the game by the scruff of its neck, and he did so with just seconds to spare - netting the Real Madrid winner in the last minute of normal time! Real remain a point behind Barcelona, but are still in with a chance!

The game had a bad start for the Whites, who conceded a goal by Aranda on the 7-minute mark following a mistake by Albiol. The team had to make a comeback. Cristiano Ronaldo hit a header that grazed one of the posts in the 14th minute. A couple of minutes later, Ronaldo controlled the ball in midfield, reached the front edge of the box and scored a beauty.

Nevertheless, the Madridistas' defence wasn't as solid as in previous games and the players failed to clear a ball that landed in Casillas' box. Vadocz controlled it and scored a phenomenal strike (43').

Real Madrid never give up and, just one minute later, Marcelo reacted and headed in a cross from Xabi Alonso, drawing the match just before half-time.

Thirty seconds into the second half, Osasuna's defence was forced to clear a shot by Higuain. Real Madrid had three clear chances on goal in the opening five minutes, two by Ronaldo that were barely saved by Ricardo, and another by Granero that was marginally off target.

Real Madrid had many more chances, but failed to score. Victory was paramount. Cristiano Ronaldo pulled rank to score the victory goal from a header in the very last minute of the match!
